Manuscript format and style
- The format for submission should be Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

- Use the abbreviations only in necessary places. All the abbreviations should be expanded on the first instance of their use. Abbreviate long names of chemical substances and terms for therapeutic combinations. Abbreviate names of tests and procedures that are mostly known by their abbreviations than by the full name (For example: VDRL test, ANA test, etc.). Abbreviate units of measurement when they appear with numerals (Such as 20 mL).
- Use generic names for all drugs and SI units throughout the manuscript.
- Authors should arrange the manuscripts section in the following order: Title page, Case report, Acknowledgements (if any), and References. Case report should consist of the following four sections: Introduction, Case presentation, Discussion, and Learning points.
Title page requirements
- A concise and informative title, which should attract reader’s interest and highlight the uniqueness of the case being presented. (Kindly submit the title page as a supplementary file to ensure blind review. Do not provide any author identifying material in the body of the manuscript)
- The name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation, and address.
- Address, telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author including e-mail.
- List the authors in the order in which they have to appear on the title page. In the case of group authorship, identify one or more authors who will have responsibility for the publication.
- A short abstract (3-5 lines) explaining the uniqueness of the case should be included.
- A list of 3 to 6 key words for indexing (placed below the abstract).
Acknowledgments
The source of funding as well as a disclosure statement mentioning conflict of interest can be included under this heading.
References
- Arrange the references in the order in which they appear in the text and provide corresponding reference number as superscript within the content.
- Cite symposium papers only from published proceedings.
- Journal titles cited in the references section should conform to the abbreviations given in Index Medicus.
- The journal follows the stylistic standard outlined in the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html)
Footnotes
Limit the use of footnotes to the title page and tables. The order for using the footnote symbols is *, †, ‡, §, ||, ¶, **, ††, ‡‡, and so on.
Tables
Use Arabic numerals to number the tables in the order in which they appear in the text. Use titles that concisely describe the content of the table. Give the units of measure for all numerical data given in a column or row.
Figures
Figures can be submitted as ' jpg', or 'tiff ' files in a zipped folder. Figures should be numbered using Arabic numerals in the order in which they appear in the content. Each figure should have a legend. Use of phrases than sentences is preferred for legend. All symbols or letters that appear on the figures should be explained in the legend. For pictures of histologic slides, give stain and magnification data at the end of the legend for each part of the figure. If no scale marker appears on the figure, give the original magnification used during the observation.
Manuscript submission
Submission of manuscript and all other communications addressed to the editor should be done through the journal’s online submission system. Kindly register yourself to the journal and follow the steps detailed in the web page for manuscript submission. Authors are also requested to submit the tables and figures separately as supplementary data during the manuscript submission process. The authors can also submit any other data that is not essential for inclusion in the manuscript as supplementary file.
