There is a general notion among the physicians and researchers that case studies have very limited value in generating robust conclusions. However, they play a vital role in improving the knowledge of managing challenging cases in medical field. Moreover, the case reports serve as the initial step for designing large-scale studies and also to resolve difficult research questions that are not addressed by well-designed studies.
We are very excited to bring forth one more new publication, Internet Journal of Case Reports, under the ChanRe Journal portfolio. The journal offers an interesting publishing platform for all kind of clinical case studies that are analytic and penetrating, and attracts interpretive discussions. Case studies, exploring novel or important topic, help the scientists, researchers, students, clinicians and medical practitioners to stay updated in the research field and clinical practice. The publication invites case reports dealing with: collection of similar cases, individual cases, and studies discussing critical decision taken to salvage the case in exigent circumstances.
Internet Journal of Case reports strive to publish case studies explaining one of the following:
· An unexpected event in the disease course
· Unusual or unexpected disease presentations
· Newer diagnostic, management, and treatment approaches
· Findings that reveal a possible pathogenesis or an adverse event
· Novel associations or presentations in disease processes
To further accentuate the knowledge dissemination and accessibility, the journal is not imposing any kind of subscription or article processing charges. Moreover, all the articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication.
We welcome thought-provoking case studies from all the medical fields and expert reviewers to fulfill the goals of the double-blind peer-review process.
